The stars at night are big and bright…but dark, starry skies across Texas and the world are becoming harder to find due to light pollution. Join Ranger Holly from Guadalupe River State Park to discover why both people and wildlife need dark skies. You’ll find out what Texas State Parks are doing to protect dark skies, and how you can make a difference in your own backyard! (Hint: light pollution is the easiest type of pollution to fix!)
Follow-up field experience will be a Stargazing party at the Guadalupe River State Park with the San Antonio Astronomical Association on Saturday, July 13th. Time is 8 - 10 pm. For more inforation go to the calendar event here.
