  Join Jymann as she covers the topic of sodium from its history, the role of sodium in foods and public health, current sodium consumption trends, how to identify sodium in foods, food trends related to sodium and some national initiatives on reducing sodium.

You’ll get updates on the nutrition facts label and the 2015-2020 New Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Participants can prepare for all the summer cooking by getting the recipe for the Spice Mix to use as an alternative to salt on a variety of foods from steak, chicken, fish, salads and even popcorn!  Don’t get in salty situations-move away from the Salt Shaker!
