Event

Registration required, open to all adults and teens.

Join us for this session of Calligraphy Styles as we practice brush lettering and calligraphy techniques and review how to emphasize strokes, flourishes, and other hand lettering techniques. All supplies will be provided.

This month we will also keep working on our lettering journal. If you joined us for the May class and have started your lettering journal, bring it with you so you can add on! If you are new to this class, we will provide you with a lettering journal to get you started.

If you are new to brush calligraphy, we offer a Modern Brush Calligraphy course quarterly which covers the basics. The next Modern Brush Calligraphy class will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022. In this class, Rachel will give in depth instruction on the nine basic strokes needed to succeed at your calligraphy. So if your schedule permits, we encourage you to take advantage of Rachel's patient teaching style. Otherwise, come to this Calligraphy Styles class and know that we will give out a beginning packet for you to take and practice at home, but we will not spend a lot of time going over the basic strokes. We will quickly jump into the project of the month.
